The Common Ground Alliance is seeking an organized, self-motivated Manager of Education and Programs to support CGA's senior staff.  This position will be in CGA's Alexandria, VA office.



Responsibilities


As part of an agile team, the Manager of Education and Programs will be responsible for the creation, delivery, and continuous improvement of compelling educational content that meet the business, networking, and professional development goals of our members and attendees.



A successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of CGA's strategic goals and will develop educational programming and content for damage prevention professionals, coordinate abstract submissions and potential speakers, and build relationships with a diverse roster of subject matter experts and partners. CGA is seeking an experienced, consensus-building team-player who will work with staff and external stakeholders, partners, and vendors on a daily basis to deliver exceptional customer service to our members and attendees.



The Education and Program Manager will be responsible for the following:




  • Managing numerous CGA educational projects and programs including but not limited to session and presentation development, speaker coordination, conference volunteers, abstract submissions, partnership development, and other necessary projects.

  • Implementing educational programming for multiple CGA events and meetings. This includes working with staff and other stakeholders to develop content and agendas, working with committees, outlining session topics and descriptions, inviting and tracking speakers and accompanying documentation, coordinating and facilitating session planning calls, onsite management of sessions and speakers, assisting with program evaluations, note-taking and other duties necessary to create an exceptional experience for members.

  • Developing outstanding, customer-focused relationships with speakers, attendees and members as demonstrated by an ability to actively listen, respond creatively, and apply knowledge to determine solutions.

  • Working with staff and vendors to ensure seamless program development and execution.

  • Assisting with education software management, including maintaining our speaker database and creating procedures.

  • Providing accurate and timely reporting.

  • Working with the staff to evaluate and recommend continuous improvements to our events.
