- EXTERNAL JOB DESCRIPTION
We’re seeking for a Front End/Mobile Software Engineer. You’ll join a small technical team and leverage your knowledge to design, implement and maintain our Apps, Web Services and UI’s. This role includes leveraging the best of open source technologies in a Linux-based environment, along with AWS cloud computing, and a proprietary distributed search and computing platform.
As a Front End Engineer, you’ll help:
- Work across the entire Web stack including: JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap, Node.js, HTML5, CSS, Swift, and Java in an SOA environment.
- Develop and maintain our mobile applications.
- Make significant contributions to the Web Application framework.
- Actively participate in the design and development of the data fusion products.
- Join a mid-sized engineering team, working closely with Data Science, Management, and Product Development
The ideal Software Engineer will have:
- Full life-cycle software development experience, from design and creation to deployment, monitoring & troubleshooting.
- Experience architecting solutions and writing code for a high-traffic, high-availability responsive website.
- Comprehensive JavaScript, Angular, Swift, and Python experience.
- Database knowledge, preferable MySQL, REDIS
- Familiarity with AWS S3
- Experience interacting with REST APIs.
- A strong background in front end development.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Capability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly and get stuff done in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Passion for quality code and quality product.
BONUS POINTS:
- Strong frontend engineering experience (HTML/CSS/Templating languages).
- Experience in mobile web development/responsive design.
- Ability to beat the team at table tennis.
