Full Stack Software Developer (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
- Further development of existing software and documentation
- Development of automated tests
- Maintain and phase out an existing Java-based web application platform over the next couple of months with a gradual transition to greenfield development projects in the area of physical activity monitoring and biomedical online services
- Support different stages of the software development life cycle – the software complexity ranges from back-end Java command-line applications up to multi-tiered web applications running on a JBoss Application Server
- Supporting activities from integration up to the rollout and maintenance in cooperation with our clients
- Contact person for customers and our students
- Work on tickets in our ticket system
Your qualifications:
- Academic qualifications in computer science or equivalent
- The capability and desire to work with an existing code base in a regulated environment
- Relevant practical experience in development of multi-tiered Java applications, object-oriented design and programming and data analysis
- Experience in relevant technologies (Java 6, Hibernate, JBoss, Postgres, Linux Shell Scripting, ANT, Eclipse, CVS) are beneficial
- Fluent English language skills
- Nice to have: Experience in development and design of software used in clinical trials (e.g. EDC, CTMS, IRT), understanding of quality requirements in the highly regulated environment of the healthcare industry, experience in DevOps environments
