Job Description

As the Manager, Cloud Infrastructure Services

You will be responsible for the supporting cloud based infrastructure

What you'll do

  • Develop, document, and maintain a roadmap for TBI implementation of Cloud infrastructure and services, supporting processes or components
  • Manage team of Cloud infrastructure engineers in support of core enterprise applications
  • Lead the enterprise in the adoption of a Cloud culture and capabilities including Cloud automation (infrastructure as code), performance, cost, security and configuration optimization management and operations
  • Lead and improve the design and implementation of Cloud based infrastructure and service capabilities in complex, multiple application, production environments
  • Responsible for creating key performance metrics and action planning for up-line management
  • Prioritize and ensure proper resources are assigned to escalations from the development and operational teams; Drive issues to resolution and communicate effectively to leadership on status and impact
  • Provide strategic direction for the team, including creating a plan and prioritize the requests from the business to maximize the value to the business
  • Provide mentoring and career guidance for team members
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation related to workflow processes
  • Work with IT groups, vendors and business users; participate in vendor contract management to meet current support needs
  • Escalate issues for resolution (and provide follow-up) to Tier 3 (TBI enterprise architecture, in-house development staff, infrastructure engineering, OEM and application vendors)
  • Participate and contribute in Scrum/Agile processes and assignments
  • Complete a wide variety of technical and administrative duties in the areas of business application support, problem and incident management
  • Develop and utilize monitoring and alerting tools for reporting the health of critical Cloud resources and applications
  • Responsible for managing project task schedule for the Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team
  • Work with Project Managers to set project scope, solutions and realistic deadlines
  • Influence and approve change requests as well as participate in change control processes to ensure business and regulatory compliance
  • Maintains Service Catalog for accessing CIS related services.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Information Technology preferably with a strong technical understanding of the various hardware, software and networking systems being supported
  • 3+ years as a manager or other leadership roles of an IT Operations team with product build and deployment focus
  • Knowledge of Cloud technologies, preferably provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as CloudFormation, EC2, Organizations, scaling compute architectures, Highly Available (HA) architectures, Cloud cost management, Cloud database offerings, Cloud networking, etc.
  • Demonstrated background managing teams in the troubleshooting of Linux/UNIX, Windows 2008/2012/2016 servers and application services
  • Experience with Cloud Platforms and virtualization Technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities, knowledge of change management, and experience implementing new processes/technology to standardize operations
  • Demonstrated strategic planning experience
  • Exceptional communication and time management skills with the ability to track and ensure the success of multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively at range of levels from professionals to executives
  • Exceptional analytical, technical and diagnostic skills, ability to lead incident management efforts, troubleshooting efforts and RCAs
  • Ability to lead multi-person efforts to deliver significant project deliverables in a timely fashion with no oversight
