We are a fast growing, innovative technology company looking for additional talented Engineers! As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the user interfaces of all Pedigree Technologies solutions and for taking those applications to the next level. We work in small agile teams of Software Engineers, QA Engineers and Product Owners on a two week cycle that includes planning, development, code review, testing, and deploy to production. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will use your experience and knowledge to help our development teams grow and succeed.
Job Responsibilities:
·Design and implement innovative and intuitive user-facing software for Pedigree Technologies Customers.
·Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications.
·Estimate engineering effort and plan implementation of software systems.
·Review and provide feedback on code written by your team members.
·Contribute substantially to software development projects by taking an active role in the design and development phases.
·Provide leadership and mentoring to members of your team and throughout the engineering organization.
·Utilize Agile Development concepts to help release working software that customers will use.
·Update your job knowledge by researching state of the art tools; maintaining personal networks; participating in learning opportunities and attending remote training sessions.
Requirements:
·BS or MS degree in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
·8+ years of Web application development experience in a professional setting.
·Development experience in JavaScript or Java including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.
·Development experience with HTML and CSS including concepts like layout, specificity, cross browser compatibility, and accessibility.
·Development experience with Vue.js preferred.
·Working knowledge of modern web technologies including cloud-based APIs and protocols (REST, JSON).
·Leadership experience working in a team environment.
·Experience contributing significantly to a software development team.
·Strong written and oral communication skills
·Ability to self-manage and work independently.
·Eagerness to learn.
