As part of iCloud you will play a meaningful role in designing, developing, and deploying high-performance systems that handle billions of queries every single day. This enormous scale brings challenges that require extraordinarily creative problem solving. By focusing on and respecting the customers needs, youll be responsible for helping us build the technology that works for so many customers around the world.
We are looking for Engineers and Architects who are passionate about crafting big-data products. This role requires deep understanding of developing products that are highly scalable, highly available and fully fault tolerant. Understanding of various big-data technology concepts such as Parallel Processing in MapReduce or Spark, indexing technology used in searching, query processing using NoSQL technologies is a requirement.
This is a small and exclusive technology team focused on addressing all the big-data processing needs for iCloud. We are developing a platform that can accomplish any task with an intuitive, simple to use user interface, and easy deployment to production.
Key Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with Java, Scala or Python
2+ years experience in Hadoop/Spark ecosystems
Expert in large scale distributed systems
Knowledge of streaming architecture (Spark Streaming/Flink)
Familiar with Relational Database concepts
In-depth understanding of functional programming concepts
In-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms

* Develop a big data infrastructure that is highly scalable, available with end to end monitoring capabilities

Education:
Bachelors in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Ops Research etc.)
Masters or PhD in Statistics/Mathematics is a plus
