(NO H1's or OPT's)Job Duties Interact with key decision makers to understand business needs, design use cases and determine a path to delivery Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts Act as data expert by suggesting technologies, technology approaches and processes Lead full life-cycle projects from requirements gathering through development, implementation and roll-out Analyze database implementation methods to make sure they are in line with company/client policies and any external regulations that may apply Develop database design and architecture documentation for the management and executive teams Analyzing structural requirements for new software and applications Migrate data from legacy systems to new solutions Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements Optimize new and current database systems Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Applied Mathematics 7+ years of experience in the role of Data Architect, Application Architect, or Solution Engineer for data-centric Agile business intelligence or analytics projects based on relational or no-SQL database technologies. 7+ years of experience tuning and optimizing databases queries or reporting interfaces. Required Skills Ability to think strategically and relate architectural decisions/recommendations to business needs and client culture. Experience in the design and implementation of data architecture solutions. Experience with data integration tools such as SSIS or Informatica or Ab-Initio. Experience with at least two different RDBMS, such as Teradata, Oracle or MS SQL server. Experienced across all phases of data modeling, from conceptualization to database optimization. Proven experience in data lifecycle management, data governance, data quality in many types of sourcing systems. Proven track record of leading in data management tools and capabilities; demonstrated aptitude in data architecture and governance activities/best practices Well-versed in business processes and data domains, and be willing to go into a deep level of detail, while still maintaining a big-picture view Exceptional communication skills - Significant experience with Sr Executive level audiences Ability to bring data architecture best practice from your own experience within industrial corporations Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills Other Skills Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI. Familiarity with modern data architectures and concepts such as streaming, Big Data as a Service, schema on read and real-time data access. Knowledge of how to assess the performance of data solutions, how to diagnose performance problems, and tools used to monitor and tune performance.Program management and change management to drive significant business results Significant experience in leading individual contributors and driving action through influence Strong relationship building (listening) skills with ability to deliver results in a global and matrixed environment Comfort with developing solutions in ambiguous environments Hands-on experience in large scale change management programs Experience partnering with Finance, Operations, IT and multiple business functions
