We have an immediate need for one (1) Junior Technical Data Management Analyst to help our client, a large financial services organization going through a large realignment. The organization is embarking on a significant integration, as well as a new regulatory-driven implementation which drives changes across numerous facets of operations, including accounting/finance, IT, risk, the business units, and others.
The Junior Technical Data Management Analyst will leverage their technical experience in data management tools and dimension modeling to conduct a variety of analyses and help guide strategic business priorities. The Junior Technical Data Management Analyst will work with senior peers to support data analysis with a focus on data controls, validation, and quality. Analytics results will influence business strategies, as well as aid in the prioritization of business and analytics initiatives.
The candidate will work closely under the direction of the enterprise data organization, and be accountable to project leaders (managers, business owners, and technology managers).

This is a 6+ month consulting opportunity located in downtown Atlanta, GA with an opportunity to potentially join the client as an FTE after the successful engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical support of identified business initiatives
- Independently constructs analysis framework, using data mining and analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and validate data using a variety of data platforms
- Partners with business leaders to iteratively generate analytics insights that highlight opportunities to optimize delivery and improve data reliability
- Researches, captures, analyzes, and contextualizes data quality issues, translates the results, and communicates findings to appropriate stakeholders
- Understand the impact of data quality and anticipate downstream consequences which impact other business areas and systems
- Apply advanced knowledge of data manipulation and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Ab Initio, Access, etc.
- Conduct continuous analysis of data fields to identify discrepancies and correct through validation, education, or enhancement
Requirements:
- 1-3 years experience with various analytics tools and techniques, including Ab Initio, SQL, SAS, R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, Dimension Modeling, etc.
- Professional communication and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize and draw conclusions from variant information sources
- Demonstrated excellence in technical data analysis
- Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
- Strong communication skills with the ability to compile complex information into easily digestible and concise reporting
- Demonstrated ability to apply logical and critical thought processes to assigned tasks
- Experience working with data from a range of platforms
Education:
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
