As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. In the role of Kafka Service Framework Developer, you will be part of the GTI Platform Services/Messaging team. Responsibilities include the following:
Design and develop micro-service components of the Kafka service framework with 100% automation of unit testing
Assist the feature team with setting strategic technology directions, best development practices, and will also conduct peer code reviews.
Develop and maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) while adhering to SDLC practices
Execute within a client centric environment when working with teams and contribute to the Client Experience
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BTech degree or equivalent experience
Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
Experience in large scale software development in one or more of the programming languages (Java, Python)
Experience in developing REST APIs and spring framework
Build prototypes or POCs where needed, to validate technical approach
Experience with data modeling and structures such as JSON, XML
Experience with Apache Kafka and its variants
Experience with messaging/middleware technologies
Experience with developing scalable and resilient Enterprise solutions
Experience in system and software security and entitlements (ADFS, Kerberos, LDAP, OAuth etc)
Familiar with modern compute technologies such as Cloud and Containers
Experience in design and developing micro services to support the Kafka infrastructure
Strong Communication (written and verbal) and team-working skills
Ability to work to deadlines within agile methodology
