As Lead Information Security Engineer you will help ensure HealthEngine assets are designed and built to the appropriate security standards based on risk.
About you
The ideal candidate will flourish in a rapidly-changing agile environment. They will be balanced in their approach to decision making. Have the ability to think both conceptually and practically. They have a bias to action but are comfortable planning long-range projects. They will be very self aware and persuasive in their influencing style, with strong communication and presentation skills extending to techies and the business folk.
Your responsibilities
- Assess, understand, and communicate the security risks associated with complex large-scale technology projects alongside appropriate safeguards.
- Work with engineers to design and build proactive controls to enhance our security posture.
- Coordinate offensive internal and external security exercises to test our security controls and detection capabilities.
- Conduct research to identify new attack vectors against HealthEngine products and services.
- Identify and take advantage of the opportunities to integrate application security (AppSec) techniques early into the product development lifecycle.
Experience you’ll bring
- Software development or proven application penetration testing background, relevant tertiary qualifications are a bonus
- In-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, authentication, security protocols and applied cryptography
- Ideally, experience working with LAPP Stack (Linux, Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP), Javascript, AWS (EC2, S3, Redshift, Lambda, KMS), Git, Redis, Memcache, Varnish, ElasticSearch, Node.js, Ansible, Vagrant, Kibana, Docker and Kubernetes
- CISSP, OSCP or equivalent industry certifications desired but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
