Full Stack Java Developer

Location: Houston, TX

In this role as a Full Stack Java Developer, you will:

• Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios

• Participate in daily standups and continuously improve software engineering practice

• Utilize engineering practices like pair programming, TDD, ATDD, CI/CD, and Refactoring techniques

• Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies

• Participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community

• Interact with other card technology teams within Capital One

• Provide full stack support utilizing Java and AngularJS

• Utilize Go programming and Node.JS to develop and deploy AWS Lambda functions

• Provide 3rd level support of software solution as needed

• Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience

• At least 3 years of Java/J2EE development experience

• At least 1 year of experience developing Restful APIs in Spring

• At least 1 year of Cloud computing experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• At least 1 year of Agile experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience programming in Java

• 1+ year of experience with Go programming language

• 1+ year of experience with Node.JS
