Unique Industries is seeking a Help Desk Support Technician to work in the Philadelphia Corp office which is located in South Philadelphia, PA. This Help Desk Support Technician will work under the supervision of the Director of IT Operations handling Level 1 Help Desk coverage for the Philadelphia (Corporate), Montoursville, and Canada locations, as well as escalated issues from the remote sites. This includes hardware and software support for desktops/laptops, printers, servers, and networks. It is anticipated that, in performing the assigned duties, the Help Desk Technician will regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance to the management or general business operations of the Company.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support for 200+ PCs to include configuration, installation of components, and troubleshooting hardware/software in a mixed Mac/Windows environment
- Troubleshoot issues with printers (desktop, MFP, Epson Proofers)
- Provide application support for PC Users to include software installation, troubleshooting and training with emphasis on Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and other Adobe applications
- Administer user and computers object in Active Directory
- Administer Office 365 users and licensing
- Monitor IT Systems health and performance with Zabbix Monitoring Solution
- Administer the HPBX platform
- Operate the Badge Security and Intrusion Detection Systems
- Provide general supervision and support to building contractors while working on issues in the facility and as requested by the Director of IT Operations
- Track Help Desk calls and account for time spent on issues
- Track asset information using iTop
- Provide backup to Server & Network Administrator for JD Edwards CNC Functions and Oracle maintenance
- Serve as backup Administrator for Remote Access and all network equipment
- Create and revise documentation of processes and procedures that may be intended for different audiences, including some with little or no IT expertise
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Excellent knowledge of Windows 7 and 10 Operating Systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to proceed through system diagnostics in a logical and orderly manner
- Strong analytical skills with a methodological approach to problem solving and implementation
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills with ability to professionally interact with all levels of personnel required
- Familiarity with Esko Printing Solutions a plus
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
- 2 years of experience in hardware support required; 3 or more years preferred
- Active Directory administration experience preferred
- Symantec End Point Enterprise Anti-Virus experience preferred
· Experience with remote desktop support using remote support tools
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- A+ and ITIL certifications preferred
