At SiteMinder we look for engaged and customer centric problem solvers to join our highly skilled engineering team. Our mission is to help our clients, independents and group & chain hotels, to be visible to guests from new and existing markets, receive direct bookings and to personalise the guest booking experience through data.
We currently have a need for a Software Engineer to join our team. In this role you will use your backend development experience to build and enhance our products - our projects vary between natively developing in our new cloud-based microservices architecture and others will involve migration.
Our hope is that you love simplicity and code that just works, Google and StackOverflow are your go-tos and that you have a polyglot mindset with a desire to learn and use different technologies.
Does this sound like you?
- Skilled with Java, Kotlin or JVM technologies
- AWS experience across one or more of the following EC2, Kinesis, SQS, ElastiCache, Lambda and S3
- Knowledge on how to structure, develop and maintain relational databases such as MySQL, PostGres and Oracle
- Experienced with or want to learn key/value store databases such as DynamoDB, Cassandra, MongoDB and Redis
- Understand code testability, build pipelines, Docker and CI/CD systems
We're well aware that this is quite a laundry list of skills therefore if you believe you have a blend of at least some of the above we’d love to hear from you.
