Overview
Brivo is looking for a highly creative, passionate, and skilled Senior Software Engineer to design and develop new web services for a global security system serving millions of users. Accountabilities
- Spend 80-90% of your time writing code and designing solution
- Work with architects and other team leads to support the company's mission through architectural and technical improvement
- Participate in code reviews
- Work with product owners to deliver new features to production
- Along with your team, take ownership of the applications you work on
- Work with Agile team to complete code reviews, sprint planning, and backlog grooming
Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years experience with Java and Spring in developing complex web applications that scale securely and responsively
- Strong foundation in web applications and services with modern software architecture
Experience with the following:
- Releasing microservices to cloud environment with zero downtime
- Designing and optimizing database schemas and queries
- Front-end technologies and frameworks such as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML
- REST API development and RESTful web development with Javascript
- Setting up and managing CI builds on Jenkins
- React or Bootstrap a plus
