Sr DevOps Engineer
Essential skills:
- 3+ years of prior experience as a Software Engineer interested in working on systems that are highly reliable, maintainable, and scalable
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
- Comfortable with Agile methodologiess
- Experience with:
- Infrastructure-As-Code paradigm and Terraform
- Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
- Continuous integration patterns and tools such as CircleCI, ConcourseCI, Jenkins, etc.
- System startup managers such as systemd and init.d
- SSH and other forms of remote management
- General networking principles (DNS, TCP/IP, IPs, Ports, etc.)
- Linux in a Production environment (Ubuntu preferred)
- Develop automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, configure, scale and monitor their applications in cloud environments
- Actively participate in high level team activities such as suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements, and conducting tool evaluations
- Help solve business needs by evaluating different technology options and vendor products
- Troubleshoot system problems across platform and application domains and participate in on-call escalations to diagnose customer facing issues
- Take ownership of end-to-end solutions provided by teams across the organization
