You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in an Agile environment to drive improvements to our software architecture, design and code. You will have the opportunity to work with business and engineering leaders, and influence product vision and design of our systems.
What you'll do
- Design and build software by writing clean and thoroughly tested code.
- Improve quality, delivery and operation & support aspects of software.
- Work closely with Technical Product Manager to define roadmaps and backlogs.
- Analyse, debug and resolve production and non-production issues.
- Provide direction to peers, where applicable .
Who you are:
- A self-learner with a passion to learn new technologies
- A strong communicator both written and verbal
- Software development experience in an Agile environment with a DevOps mind-set
- RESTful API development experience with Java, ideally with Java 8.
- Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures, and Algorithms.
- Strong experience of using testing frameworks and tools like JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, etc.
- Thorough understanding operational and non-functional requirements.
- Competence in SQL and NoSQL data stores.
Other technical qualities we value:
- Working experience with low latency and high throughput applications.
- Previous experience of using cloud services e.g. AWS and caching data stores e.g. Redis.
- Experience of application performance tuning.
