Clay’s core mission is to grant easy access for businesses anywhere around the world, in a logical and user-friendly way. Clay’s marketing team works on creating and maintaining the best possible website for its B2B audience, while generating content for the company blog and analyzing customer journeys from digital campaigns, to website visits, to filled out contact forms all the way to our CRM tool.
What you'll do
As a Front-End Developer at Clay you’ll be mainly working alongside your coworkers from the development and marketing team translating ideas into distinctive website features & designs. You’ll be implementing the already completed designs from our UX designer with the end goal to deliver a responsive and commercially strong Wordpress website based on our marketing strategy.
We’re looking for a front-end developer with a strong vision on what makes a great website; experienced in understanding technical designs, managing timelines, specifications as well as coding.
Technical skills and expertise
Knowledge of Wordpress and web fundamentals: PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Familiarity with MySQL database
Experience with GIT source version control and GitFlow branching model
Experience with CSS preprocessors: Sass/Less
Good understanding of the JavaScript front-end ecosystem: ES6/7, webpack, jQuery, React/Redux
Capability of building a responsive layout and retina support and of developing Plugin
Optimise speed, uptime, SEO and cross-browser/device friendliness of the site
Research, and implement concepts that increase engagement and conversion
Develop & maintain a top-notch user experience across all of these properties through A/B testing and data-driven design
Create dashboards for marketing team and report on the success web pages, as well as digital campaigns
Experience in Agile/Scrum, good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
Good eye for commercial features; have a knack for adding finesse to a website such as animations and more, to enhance user experience
Provide expertise on industry best practice
You are a proactive and independent worker, able to make suggestions on improvement and implement them autonomously
