Job Summary

We’re looking for a mobile developer to help us add amazing and innovative customer-visible features to our native iOS mobile apps. Our apps are downloaded millions of times each year and process billions in trading volume every day, so you have an opportunity to make a big impact. It's a great time to join our team as we're working on a brand new project that involves augmented reality!

Key Qualifications

  • A keen interest in mobile development.

  • 3+ years of iOS development experience.

  • Detailed knowledge of Objective-C/Swift.

  • Strong development and design skills using object oriented languages.

  • A high personal standard when it comes to User Interface and Usability (UX).

Bonus points if you have

  • Framework or API development experience.

  • Experience with functional programming.

  • A mobile app in the iOS App Store or Android Market.

  • Contributions to an open-source project (of any kind).

  • An account on Github.com with samples of your code.

  • An account on StackOverflow with examples of your answers.

Description

In an ever-increasing mobile world, our team’s vision is to provide desktop class trading on a mobile device. Our approach is to write native code, often times leveraging low-level API’s to optimize performance. UX is integrated in the DNA of our team, allowing us to thoughtfully pack a lot of usable features in such a small space. Your work will help define what an industry-leading mobile experience looks like.

You will be responsible for writing new features, fixing bugs, writing tests, code reviews, design reviews, handling customer support requests, releases, writing stories and providing estimates, mentoring co-op students, and adding new emoji into our Slack channel! You will join us in following the twelve Agile Manifesto principles, reflecting on each iteration with a retrospective every two weeks.

We Value

  • Open and honest communication.

  • Organic cross-team working relationships (if you need something from someone, just go talk to them).

  • Taking initiative to help drive what we work on. Everything from technical debt to user stories.

  • Code reviews in a safe environment to encourage vulnerability so everyone can learn and grow.

  • Exploring new technology, API’s and programming concepts to make life better for your team-mates.

  • Having ideas and opinions on what makes good user experience and good design.

  • Being willing to adjust our team process to improve how we work.
