Responsibilities...
Building security tools, infrastructure and API’s for developers and systems to consume
Provide support to other delivery teams at the FT and help them secure their platforms effectively.
Proactively identify and fix insecure practices and security vulnerabilities in the platform and network through audits, penetration testing and various other means
Advocate security to technology and business colleagues
Assist with system vulnerability scans, assessments and penetration tests.
Analysis and monitoring of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities
Skills and Experience
Required
Good understanding of Python and a willingness to learn new technologies and languages
Good understanding of how to build API’s and RESTful web services
Good unit testing skills
Log aggregation tools and techniques, analysis and reporting
Vulnerability management and analysis, including patching and remediation strategies
Hands on experience with AWS, especially cloudformation and lambda.
Excellent communication skills
Desirable
Knowledge of Node.js or Go
Ability to work effectively with infrastructure and config management tools.
Experience integrating security tools into existing development workflows
Hold an AWS certification e.g. AWS certified solution architect - associate.
Client/server architectures & networking architecture, protocols and principles
Web application vulnerabilities and attacks
Knowledge of Linux internals
Experience with Agile, Scrum and working with delivery teams
