Harris is seeking a Software Engineer responsible for design, development, and integration of embedded applications. Technologies utilized by the systems are primarily in C/C++ on various platforms including Linux. This position will be located at our beautiful Harris Technology Center (HTC) located in Palm Bay, FL.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Computer Science or a related field) and 6+ years’ experience, OR Master’s degree with 4+ years’ experience.
- Experience interacting with customers throughout the design cycle including major design reviews and architecture reviews.
- 3+ years of experience with C++ programming language or similar object oriented language.
- Experience writing/modifying linux device drivers.
- Experience writing real-time/low-level software.
- Familiar with Layers 1 – 3 of wireless network protocol stack
Preferred Additional Skills:
- OOA/OOD/UML experience.
- Built In Test, Ethernet, NFS, BSP.
- Experienced with Multi-core ARM processors
- Experience with Lab integration for communication systems
- Familiar with airborne data links such as Link-16 or TTNT

- Existing DoD Secret or TS/SCI clearance, or the ability to obtain an interim clearance within 30 days and full clearance thereafter
