Vice President, Full Stack Engineer - Wealth Management Risk Technology at JP Morgan Chase (Jersey City, NJ)

JPMorgan Asset Management Technology is seeking a well-rounded full stack developer that is experienced in building systems that support the full Investment Management investment cycle from portfolio construction to portfolio execution and trading.  The candidate will be part of the front-office technology team and have good business knowledge and communication skills to work with stakeholders to develop models and functional specifications.Successful candidate:

• Will be part of the high-caliber development team working closely users on end-to-end solutions
• Must be curious, hardworking and detail-oriented, motivated by complex analytical problems
• Has a demonstrated interest in financial markets, and is able to communicate with business users
• Should be able to work individually or as part of a global team to achieve project goals
• Will work with product strategy and marketing teams to deliver a customer-centric platform
• Will be responsible for full SW lifecycle: coding, unit testing, integration, packaging/deployment
• Will ensure that SW quality is consistent with defined standards and Agile development practice

Required Experience and Skills:

• 3+ years of exp. in a financial service environment with a focus in front-office applications
• Strong Java programming experience
• Good understanding of data persistence (SQL or noSQL) data paradigms
• Solid financial engineering background is desirable
• Prior experience developing middleware (MQ, data caching) and core java
• Experience in front-office capital markets/investment management applications desired
• Understanding of equity, fixed income, and credit markets is desired
• Experience working with market data feeds
• Agile development experience or equivalent in fast-paced development environment
• CFA, FRM, and/or Financial Engineering degree and/or risk management knowledge is a plus
