SmartWard are seeking to complement our team with an experienced and versatile person to work closely with the company's Chief Technology Officer and SmartWard's Software Engineering Team.
On a daily basis we expect you to work as part of the Software Engineering Team, taking a leading role and driving SmartWard's innovative product suite forward. You will also work closely with the company's CTO being involved in the planning and execution of projects and contributing to the company's product strategy and architecture. You will also have the opportunity to interact directly with customers and their technical teams on deploying SmartWard products either on-premise or to the Cloud. SmartWard is looking for a person who blends a strong Software Engineering background with the ability to represent the company externally when needed.
You will be playing an important role working as part of our agile Software Engineering Team on our innovative care management solutions. This will include:
- contributing to the architecture and design of mission-critical software,
- coding of such software in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript and HTML/CSS to high quality standards,
- participation in code reviews,
- guiding, mentoring and supporting others,
- documentation of architecture, design and source code for internal and external audiences.
From time-to-time you will also be
- assisting the company's Chief Technology Officer,
- planning and managing software development projects,
- providing input into strategic thinking and decisions,
- providing advice to the Executive Team on business IT matters,
- representing the company externally with respect to technical matters.
We would like to hear from you if you
- have 15+ years experience in developing mission-critical software applications,
- have extensive experience with a diverse range of architectural patterns,
- have extensive experience across a diverse range of organisations and technologies,
- have extensive experience interacting with customers and partners,
- have excellent high-level analytical skills and the ability to create,
- have extensive experience managing software development projects,
- are creative, focussed and motivated with great attention to detail,
- have the desire to excel in what you do and help others to do the same,
- have a desire and talent for mentoring others and provide direction,
- have a history of being respected by your colleagues above, below and side-ways,
- work effectively as part of a team.
Furthermore, we highly value:
- higher-level degree/Masters,
- experience in any of the aforementioned technologies,
- experience with micro-service architectures,
- experience with cloud infrastructure
- experience working in a start-up company.
