To support our ambitious growth, we are now looking for a Data Engineer (m/f/x) for our Charter Domain in Munich starting as soon as possible.
Your Tasks – Paint the world green
- You will be part of a self-organized, cross-functional team owning the charter domain
- You will work with your team to decide on and improve the database architecture/host/slave (including some data preprocessing, automatization, isolation) to allow Charter specific functionality
- You overhaul and maintain the views and queries and adjust them after database changes
- You work closely with our charter development team regarding database work
- You will instruct SQL users how to write efficient queries
- You will be the interface between business and IT and you will inform business about any relevant database changes in time
Your Profile – Ready to hop on board
- Several years of experience as Data Engineer or Software Engineer
- Solid expertise in at least one programming language (preferably Scala, Java or Python)
- Working experience with structured engineering methods like test first (TDD, BDD)
- Experience with big data technologies (Flume, Kafka, Spark, Hadoop, Redshift and NoSQL Databases) and practical experience with Amazon Web Services
- Previous experience in the design and implementation of complex data pipelines (AWS Data Pipeline) and familiarity with machine learning, real-time data processing, data warehousing and data visualization techniques are a plus
- Fluent in English; every other European language is a plus
