Clearpool’s Algorithmic Management System (AMS) is transforming electronic trading with a fully customizable suite of algorithmic trading tools, offering total visibility and control from strategy to execution. The development team is responsible for gathering requirements, designing and implementing features + bug fixes, and unit testing code. A member of this team will get exposure to Clearpool's AMS and algo framework.
Responsibilities of the role:
- We are building out our cloud presence in AWS for our AMS platform. As a hands on developer and thought leader on our infrastructure development team, you will be involved in designing, architecting, and implementing our cloud integration solutions.
- You will help guide our cloud SDLC, allowing us to continue our high standard of quality and testing for our existing on-premise systems.
- You are willing to contribute ideas and collaborate with other developers. You’re also able to execute on ideas and turn them into production-ready code.
- We leverage several AWS technologies including SQS, IAM, SecretsManager, Aurora, and S3; as well as Docker. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with these technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal, planning and organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- 4-6 years of professional work experience
- 2+ years of professional experience with at least 2 of the above cloud technologies.
- 2+ years of professional Java + TDD[MH2]
- 1+ years of prior relational database experience
- Preference to candidates that have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

- Experience in financial services
- Experience with electronic trading systems
- Experience with Java multi-threading and stream processing
