About the Position:
Join the Unified AI platform team to create an agile powerful platform to do machine learning at scale. This platform would be used by eBay’s researchers and engineers who work on projects that include computer vision, NLP, machine translation and recommender systems, to do training and inferencing.

You will have good exposure to how a variety of problems in the above mentioned machine learning domains can be solved.

Qualifications:
- BSc/MS/PHD in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven track record of 8+ years of progressive engineering and/or data science experience, with 5+ years in an organization that designed, developed, and launched complex software solutions.
- Solid experience in distributed systems and large scale data processing with the passion to solve tough engineering problems.
- Parallel programming experience with CUDA is a huge plus.
- Expertise in Scala, Python, or C/C++.
- Familiarity with linear algebra math for deep learning, and popular machine learning tools and frameworks will be good to have but not required.
- Rock solid computer science fundamentals.
- Knowledge of machine learning, information retrieval, analytics, statistics, deep learning techniques is useful.
- Experience in development of multi-threaded event driven serving systems in C++/Java/Scala/Python.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
