Task


As a Java software architect, you’ll be the driving force behind our core e-commerce platform on which millions of users book their trips. You are the one who provides guidance and leadership to our internal and external dev teams and is constant exchange with the product owners and the business side to create a harmony between the dev team and the business team.You are energized, open-minded, have strong communication skills and you are not afraid of taking fast quality decisions.

  • You are a KPI driven person and you enable your team to think about KPIs (on different levels) in order to support your decisions


You are extremely structured and know how to:



  • communicate priorities promptly and comprehensively towards your team members

  • on-board a new person in your team and assure that he/she gets the right treatment

  • being effective in team meetings (no matter what kind of working methodology you will be using)

  • Q&A sessions and workshops to provide insights into your work


Profil



  • Deep understanding of Java

  • Past experience with developing complex software systems scaling it with production quality deployment, monitoring and reliability

  • Experience in applying different caching strategies

  • Experience in leading cross-functional development teams

  • Experience in designing and implementing secure, developer-friendly APIs to make our applications thrive.

  • Very good understanding of different agile methodologies

  • Experience in efficiently collaborating on projects


Bonus Points:



  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field

  • Adobe Experience Manager (Adobe CQ5)

  • Experience with other object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Python, Go, C++)
