It’s an exciting time at A Cloud Guru: we recently eclipsed 600,000 B2C customers; raised an additional $2M of funding in May; and are now focused on building out our B2B feature set and product offering. We have ambitious goals for our business and we're looking for a Software Developer to join our team to help deliver great experiences for our B2B customers.
What you'll get to do
As a Software Developer in our Organisation Experience team, you'll build out the features and products that help our B2B customers rollout, manage and deliver cloud training programs within their business.
In addition to building the products that support our fastest growing customer base, you'll get the chance to be part of a high-performing team that works amazingly together! You'll also have the opportunity to learn and work with a modern tech stack that includes a Serverless Framework, Lambda, GraphQL and React. We practice what we preach here so you'll always get to play with new and disruptive tech. And lastly, we believe in giving our developers the chance to have a say and contribute to discussions around technical direction - it doesn't matter which level you're at.
From the get go, you'll have to be proficient with:
- Developing single page applications (ReactJS is preferable)
- Creating modular and maintainable server side code (NodeJS is preferable)
- Writing unit tests
- Using a version control system (Git is preferable)
Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone that will collaborate with fellow engineers to design and build browser applications and backend systems.
We need a creative and open minded person that really loves what they do and takes pride in their work to support the team. Being able to work within a team to deliver on projects is as important to us as your ability to write code.
We would love if you have experience with Serverless applications and AWS (this would be phenomenal), but it’s not essential.
You just need to have a passion for learning and be open to becoming acquainted with:
- CloudFormation, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and DynamoDB Streams
- The Serverless Framework
- Microservices with AWS Lambda
- GraphQL
- SQL and AWS Redshift
- Firebase
- Integration Testing

For this position we will need you to join our team in our offices on Queen Street, Melbourne. We prefer hands on collaboration so this position is not available for remote workers. Unfortunately we're unable to sponsor people into Australia at this time.
