Software Engineer for Computer Vision
The individual is a member of a team of experienced & highly motivated vision software engineers that create robust vision solutions focused on object pick & place and industrial robot bin picking applications. In that domain, he or she will be implementing algorithms that support solving computer vision and image processing related problems by processing 2D & 3D data. Having several years of academic or professional experience in software development closely connected to computer vision and image processing tasks, the individual is keen to implement new machine vision algorithms. That includes drafting requirement specifications, testing and documenting. He or she has a passion for thinking out-of-the-box and creating new solutions to tough problems.
Essential Functions:
- Development and implementation of advanced machine vision and machine learning solutions closely related to the robotic Pick&Place domain
- Test and evaluation of vision algorithms
- Documentation and versioning of new code and algorithms
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 3+ years experience in advanced C/C++ programming, preferably under Linux (and Windows)
- Experience with professional software development tools, like MS Visual Studio, cmake, GCC, or Git
- Strong knowledge in using software libraries, e.g. STL, Qt, OpenCV
- Basic knowledge in computer vision, image processing, pattern recognition and classification
- Team skills to jointly create solutions in the vision group
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Keen to work in a global and industry-leading company with English-speaking colleagues.
- Willing to travel on occasion, e.g. to the headquarter near Boston, MA, USA
