Job Responsibilities
This individual will work as part of a development team designing and creating Enterprise applications, services and, tools for Field Technicians and Field Operations personnel.
Major Duties:
- Works as part of a lean agile development team to deliver business solutions within the WFA domain
- Interacts with Architects and Business Owners to gather and analyze requirements
- Creates end-to-end system designs that meet business requirements
- Develops POC and Prototypes
- Designs and creates the relational and dimensional data models
- Support defect analysis and resolution during Quality Assurance test cycle
- Participates in writing and executing unit, integration, and system test procedures
- Document final program and develop user instructions, software/hardware requirements, program input / outputs and execution / installation steps
- Provides final escalation on-call production support for developed applications
- Complies with all established procedures and policies of Comcast
- Other functions that may be assigned
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance
Minimum Requirements
-BS in Computer Science/ Engineering, or equivalent work experience in interface design and implementation
-5 years' experience developing Web Service applications using REST/ JSON, WSDL/SOAP and XML
-3 years' experience with database programming using Oracle and JDBC
-At least 3 years' experience in Data Modeling with some exposure to dimensional modeling
-1-3 years' experience with NoSQL DB's (Mongo, Cassandra)
-At least 1 years' experience in ETL or EAI
-At least 1 years' experience in application integration
-Desired experience in Scala
Strong working knowledge of the following technologies / products / methodologies:
- Spring, Hibernate, JMS
- Scala, Ruby or, Groovy
- Oracle SQL/PLSQL
- MongoDB, Casandra or other NOSQL database
- Web Services; SOAP and Restful/JSON
- Application Platforms: Play, SpringBoot, Apache Tomcat, CloudFoundry
- Continuous Build platforms (Cruise Control, Hudson, etc )
- Linux, Solaris, and Windows application development
- Application performance tuning
- TCP/IP and networking technologies and protocols
