This position is for a Site Reliability Engineer responsible for the development and implementation of processes necessary to improve application / system reliability along with operational support. The position would comprise of approximately equal focus on both software development and Infrastructure operation disciplines. This position will also develop software to automate operational processes along with coding for the shared engineering backlog deliverables.

Responsibilities:
- Focus of this position will be supporting Windows build automation. Team will own end-to-end support of the workflow, spanning numerous disciplines and technologies.
- Support Windows Automation and Configuration utilizing SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), SCSM/Orchestrator (System Center Service Manager), and custom developed software (APIs Application Program Interface)
- Engage with the development team throughout the life cycle to help build for reliability
- Develop software to automate manual operational work
- Run, maintain and improve the service against established Service Level Objectives by applying software engineering principles
- Responsible for the availability, performance, change management, monitoring, and capacity management of their services
- Troubleshoot priority incidents, conduct post-mortems and ensure permanent closure of the incidents
- Analyze patterns of production incidents, develop permanent remediation plans, and implement automation to prevent future incidents from occurring through software engineering
- Manage the efforts to split between manual operational work and engineering work
- Work with partner organizations and vendors to provide solutions to current business issues
- Participate in a shift model covering 24x7x365 support
This position may require the use of one or more High Security Access (HSA) systems. Users of these systems are subject to enhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks, and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on an annual basis thereafter. The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment.
- Minimum of 5+ years of hands on operational experience managing Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) in a complex, global, mission critical production environment
- 7+ years experience on Windows Server platform
- 5+ years of scripting experience. Preferably PowerShell and Python
- Strong background with Active Directory
- Experience with Agile Development and Continuous Integration
- Automate repetitive operation tasks and resolve repeat issues via software development skills
- Comfortable building/deploying micro service based solutions
- Utilize developments skills to improve monitoring/transparency via application dashboards
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft SSRS and IIS
- Basic experience in working with MSSQL databases. Able to read and analyse queries, along with developing stored procedures.
- Extensive experience in application/system/network performance and availability monitoring
- Experience building and supporting resilient and heavily automated platforms.
- Experience working in Dev-OPS/SRE Environment.
- Experience with System Center Service Manager/Orchestrator will be considered a plus
- Certifications: MSCE is preferred
