Currently we are searching for a motivated Backend Developer for our dynamic News Team located in our Munich HQ offices.
Your Responsibilities
- You will develop and implement your own solutions for complex problems in the fast-moving world of our News Team
- You will have the freedom and responsibility to choose your own technology stack and implement your decisions
- You will work with complex data sets, especially streaming data
- You will implement processes from problem specification to deployment
- You will keep learning and teaching new skills eager to challenge yourself with new tasks everyday
- You will closely collaborate with other engineers and related teams to ensure that your work results are integrated into the main product
- You will communicate intensively with your colleagues to share your expertise and create strong team results
Your Profile
- You have a university degree (BSc/MSc/PhD) in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or similar
- You have 2+ years of work experience in software engineering developing data driven solutions, especially in Python
- You possess strong familiarity with NoSQL and SQL databases such as Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, etc.
- You have expertise in developing machine learning models, especially NLP
- You can look back on former experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS
- Ideally you have experience working with Docker and Jenkins
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and you adapt to new challenges and tools usage quickly
- You have a pragmatic, self-motivated and results-driven mentality
