Your new company
McKesson, a leading provider of health information technology, medical supplies and care management tools and services is looking to hire a .Net Developer with experience in Web based application development. You will be reporting to the Application Development Manager and will be responsible for contributing to the analysis, design and implementation of a new web-based platform that integrates with a series of locally residing Pharmacy Management software applications. Utilizing your strong development skills and a collaborative application design mindset, you will own and manage development deliverables as a member of an Agile Team. Becoming a champion of this platform, you will be additionally responsible for documentation, knowledge transfer, mentoring and coaching team members.
Your new role
* Lead & drive Application Development and product releases through Agile Scrum Methodology.
* Develop solutions using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) to create maintainable and extensible software.
* Assist Product Specialists in providing detailed systems requirements and conducting users' needs analysis.
* Participate in the process of evaluating application architecture solutions in order to verify their design and ensure their adaptability to the company's systems and policies.
* Responsible for the technical design of Pharmacy Management System through the reviewing and understanding of high level functional requirements; collaborating with Product Specialist to define application design and estimating work efforts.
* Propose modifications to system design and integration rules. Develop application frameworks and services.
* Be accountable for the proper code merging & deployment, utilizing the source control system.
* Mentor & coach development team; perform code reviews and coach best practices.
* Conduct technical interviews for development positions.
What you'll need to succeed
* A University Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.
* 7+ years in software design and development in .Net, with a focus on a web application skillset:
* .NET 4.5, MVC, LINQ, Entity Framework, Unity, Prism
* WPF, SOAP, XML, REST, JSON
* HTML 5, CSS and Javascript (jquery, angular, NodeJS).
* 7+ years of data modeling and stored procedure development.
* 7+ years utilizing SQL (e.g. writing queries).
* 5+ years developing web services and applying SOA patterns.
* 2+ years working in Agile Scrum Development methodology.
* Working experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server.
* Working experience with 3rd party data sources and API's.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
* Team oriented with capability to build and maintain strong inter-team and inter-departmental relationships.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills:
* Pharmacy/Healthcare Domain knowledge
* HL7 /FHIR experience
* Development experience with Powerbuilder
* Experience with other javascript frameworks (e.g. Angular, NodeJS)
* Experience with Sybase.
* UML / Class Diagram / Visio Modelling experience
