We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, with experience using Ruby on Rails, to contribute to our rapid product development pace. Our Engineers work collaboratively to set the technical direction for our SaaS product, developing easy-to-use solutions for our customers and their businesses.   • Develop and implement Ruby on Rails backend



  • Use React in an existing customer-facing application

  • Be a leader in your field with continually sharpened skills



  • Use technology to provide creative solutions that solve customer problems

  • Make decisions and recommendations based on empirical data and facts

  • Produce highest-quality software

  • Write clean code



  • A love for animals and technology


About You


Skills & Requirements



  • 8+ years of software development experience

  • Demonstrated mastery of at least one technology stack

  • Write useful, effective unit and integration tests

  • Solid Ruby on Rails, Javascript, HTML5, SASS/LESS

  • DevOps Experience in managing production servers

  • Experience/knowledge in optimizing databases

  • Experience/knowledge in code patterns

  • Strong Computer science fundamentals


Soft-Skills



  • Good team interaction including collaboration, negotiation and conflict resolution

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong analytical, critical observation

  • Adaptability

  • Motivated Self-Starter


Nice-to-Haves



  • 4 year technical degree

  • Formal software education in modern web application development and design

  • Published code on Github or another code collaboration tool

  • Experience in the pet or veterinary industry


Location


You’ll be joining our small, efficient engineering team in Seattle, WA.
