DevOps Engineer - Release Manager at JP Morgan Chase (Jersey City, NJ)

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will
dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance
businesses and careers. Youll join an inspiring and curious team of
technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development,
coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating
high quality software and new products. Youll be tasked with keeping
the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of
whats being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the
importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile
frameworks-is key. And best of all, youll be working with and sharing
ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists
from all over the world.

• Involve
  in ensuring technical integrity of our team's delivery. Partner with
  the Application Development Manager in the analysis and estimation of
  future work impacting our team.
• Manage the
  methods of deployment (development, testing and production) and the
  processes and tools required to execute those deployments.
• System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains.
• Take the lead on solving and implementing difficult technology challenges and drive our team to successful delivery.
• Work closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested.
• Suggesting improvements, recommending process improvements.
• Automate parts of the development delivery process using scripts and other appropriate tools.
• Document processes and user guides for integration tools and scripts.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems 
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
• Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages.
• Extensive knowledge and experience working in DevOps and Agile environment.
• Strong grasp of automation tools
• Experience using other DevOps technologies and tools (Jenkins, Chef, Puppet, Pipeline).
• Experience in various Release management activities.
• Working experience with Agile process and tools (GIT, JIRA, BitBucket and Subversion).
• Working experience with Client facing apps which runs on the cloud based technologies, preferably Sales Force, PEGA and AEM.
• Working knowledge of PowerShell, Shell, Perl.
• Proficiency in SQL preferably across multiple databases.
• Application
  Servers Broad and deep understanding of multiple application server
  platforms including Apache Tomcat and IBM WebSphere.
• Working experience in CRM space is preferred.
• General Comfortable in more than one programming language and have a firm grasp of fundamental web/internet technologies.
