What You’ll Do
- Support 2 business units as part of a cross-functional team, contributing to:
- Database Tooling (creation, deployments, monitoring, automation)
- Schema alterations
- Capacity planning
- Performance analysis
- Query optimization
- Partner with development teams during design phases to ensure effective utilization of our databases and sharing of your expertise
- Monitor the performance of database operations and proactively recommend solutions
- Maintain our security standards by implementing backup and disaster recovery requirements
- Implement and improve scripts that facilitate ETL processes
- Document everything important you do for our data
About You
- 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, working with PostgreSQL
- 3+ years of experience advising at the design phase of the SDLC
- Proven experience monitoring for potential issues and proactively recommending solutions
- Thrive in a collaborative environment, pairing on work and coaching developers
- Adaptable to changing priorities and understanding diverse stakeholder’s database needs
