The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) function is responsible for achieving reliable and fault tolerant systems through heavy automation and smart monitoring while maintaining scale and performance. A strong sense of ownership, self-drive, technical skill and especially prior programming experience, cloud hosted applications and automation will ensure success in this role.
Essential Functions:
* Develop smart monitoring and meaningful dashboards to maintain complex application and systems behavior, performance and capacity.
* Proactively address live site issues before they turn into incidents.
* Develop adhoc tools to build automation and improve security posture.
* Consider performance, scalability, and reliability in all decision making.
* Work with the DevSecOps teams towards common goals such as improving uptime, reducing service incidents, and accelerating software deployments
* Collaborate with architects and other software engineers on improving software delivery, configuration, monitoring and operation
* Participate in the creation and maintenance of the systems that build, configure, deploy, and test our applications
* Participate in companywide quarterly hackathons. Demonstrate excellent out of the box ideas and decision-making.
