Are you the Product Owner who will strengthen our AIR team! The Product Owner within our Product Teams will cooperates intensively with the commercial teams and other stakeholders within Otravo. You will work on the development, implementation and analysis of the various websites and applications. Increasing conversion and customer loyalty is the most important focus area.

Otravo means Online Travel Organisation and is market leader in the Benelux, Scandinavia and South Europe of online air travel sales. Travellers can book airline tickets to worldwide destinations via self-service and online, and for both leisure and business trips. Otravo offers travellers a wide selection of options, everything from worldwide flights, rental cars, hotels and sun holidays to all possible dynamic travel combinations.

Otravo is the parent company of several well-known travel brands. Every day over hundred thousands of visitors are welcomed to our websites and since 1983 millions of people have travelled through our brands. What are you going to do?

The Product Teams work from a strong Agile conviction with little overhead, fast time-to-market and high quality. And always with customer focus. We use experiments to find out what our customers really want and are constantly working to turn these teachings into working software. We do this as a Product Team and also as Team Otravo.

As Product Owner you will develop the product visions together with the stakeholders, based on the customer needs and business goals. You transfer this vision to the developers and designers, and you are responsible for putting these as User Stories in the right priority on the Product Backlog. It is your job to ensure that the User Stories are realized and have a positive impact on the conversion in a controlled manner. Besides the website there are other products that helps the customer as optimally as possible. These products can vary from own mid-office implementations, data science products or improvement of our search & booking engine.

You are able to formulate and realize clear goals. You do this together with your teams, you are responsible for the design, development and management of this (you build it, you run it, you love it).

Tasks and responsibilities

  • You are obsessed with our customers and are constantly looking how to improve his or her experience on our websites

  • Creating and maintaining a Product Roadmap with business priority and a prioritized Product Backlog

  • Leading and improving the product development process based on Scrum together with the Scrum teams

  • You improve the websites on basis of clearly formulated goals with a high commercial impact

  • Intensive collaboration with the commercial teams, including Product Owners, developers and designers

  • You develop and realize A / B experiments for conversion optimization

  • Contact for and analyzes problems on our websites and knows how to solve them together with the teams

Skills And Qualifications

  • At least three years of work experience in a comparable position within e-commerce

  • You have experience with and knowledge of high traffic websites

  • Completed University degree

  • Strong commercial focus

  • Experience in the travel industry is a strong advantage

  • Data-driven, customer-oriented, proactive, creative and innovative

  • Knowledge of data science is an advantage

  • Able to work independently as well as in a team

  • Good communication skills

  • Experience with A / B and multivariable testing

  • Experience with working in an Agile development environment
