Tom Sawyer Software is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Quality Assurance Engineer. As a member of the Quality Assurance team, the Quality Assurance Engineer will test our data visualization technologies. The responsibilities will include full testing duties for advanced Desktop, Web and Mobile Applications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with different development teams to test data visualization software
- Support continuous testing early in the product release
- Support the additional intense testing needed towards the end of a product release
- Design and implement test cases
- Set up testing environments
- Report product bugs
- Verify the existence of reported bugs and inform the appropriate development team
- Analyze reported bugs to determine the cause
- Keep constant communication with engineers assigned to solve the reported bugs
- Follow up on reported bugs to verify that they have been resolved
- Automate tasks with scripting and API programming to help with software testing
- Track open cases to successful close
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
- Minimum of three years of software testing experience
- Proficiency in Java or C# is a plus
- An interest in both manual and automated software testing
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bring energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude to the job
- Advanced command of English
