4|sight Continuing Development is seeking a seasoned Advanced level Programmer Analyst for Springfield, MO. This role will provide programming support for existing software, product improvement, plus tools and utilities for support and implementation. Support may be for external customer or internal teams. Individuals must be willing to work a rotational on-call schedule and work in a team environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in programming.
- Must be able to participate in an on-call rotational schedule.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Has a wide range of experience and able to resolve complex issues. Works on complex and diverse projects. Analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercises good judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of the financial industry.
- Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Able to write software code; excellent knowledge of appropriate programming language(s).
- Able to perform and evaluate SQL and database performance issues and find a resolution.
- Able to lead complex projects.
- Able to meet aggressive deadlines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develops programming code for new and/or existing software bug fixes, enhancements, tools and utilities.
- Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.
- Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.
- Implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.
- Keeps internal and external customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes.
- Assist internal groups in determining requirements for tools and utilities to improve process flow and support/implementation functions.
- Creates required programming documentation including: release notes; testing instructions; and functional requirements of tools/utilities.
- May complete project work effort estimates. Interacts with internal and external customers to gather system requirements.
- Serves as project lead on complex projects.
- Mentors, trains, develops and provides support to less experienced co-workers.
