Role Description


Revenue Analytics is looking for an exceptional, motivated Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. Here, you will design and develop large scale innovative solutions with sophisticated optimization models for Fortune 500 companies. Collaborate on cross-functional project teams assembled to address some of today’s most pressing business problems. Own project work streams while managing client expectations and strengthening client relationships.


As a member of the Revenue Analytics Team, you will be part of a dynamic, growth organization dedicated to helping our clients optimize the price and availability of their products.  Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys finding elegant solutions to complex problems.


Responsibilities



  • Build analytical tools that allow data scientists to solve real world business problems for Fortune 500 companies

  • Develop, test, and support enhancements for a new cloud based Big Data Analytics platform.

  • Write high-quality, scalable, performant code

  • Write unit tests and work with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins

  • Enhance existing applications and provide level 3 technical support

  • Mentor junior colleagues

  • Lead technical initiatives and provide thought leadership

  • Participate in recruiting activities


Requirements



  • 5 years of experience developing product based applications or frameworks used by product development teams

  • 2+ years of experience working with AWS; ideally with one or more AWS certifications

  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis

  • In depth knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, R, Python

  • Understanding of the importance of Unit Tests and a desire to implement them

  • Desire to develop software that makes a significant impact on developer and data analyst efficiency

  • Strong distaste for performing repetitive tasks and seeing others do the same

  • Demonstrated interest in data science, ETL/ELT, machine learning or cloud computing

  • Knowledge of modern open source tools and frameworks

  • General interest in craft of software development or other computing related disciplines

  • Ability to pass standard company database and programming language tests
