Responsibilities
- Join a newly-formed QA Automation team building our Automation Frameworks from scratch
- Review business and technical requirements; create test plan & test scenarios, create automated test scripts, perform test execution and publish daily test execution reports
- Evaluate and design automation frameworks and implement new automation test cases
- Establish regression testing for initiatives across numerous projects, utilizing processes, methods, metrics, and software that ensure quality, reliability, and security.
- Work with an offshore testing team shaping the technical direction of test case creation and reporting.
- Ensure that test case coverage is constantly increasing, and feeding new test cases back into the Continuous Delivery pipeline.
- Create manual test cases for scenarios where necessary and produce clear documentation.
- Provide test reports for development managers pinpointing areas of functional deficiency.
- Prepare Functional Test Execution Plan, Sign-off documentation, and secure sign-off
- Support User Acceptance Test plan & execution as well as Post Implementation Verification
Technical Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience In QA Automation, Test Plans & Strategy, writing test cases from business requirements documents.
- 4+ years of experience with Complex SQL Queries
- Experience creating automation frameworks from scratch and writing automation scripts using Selenium to test web applications
- Experience writing integration tests for Python applications
- Experience with a CD pipeline via Gitlab or Jenkins
- Experience writing tests for web-based APIs
- Experience writing tests that evaluate data accuracy in MySQL or MariaDB database
- Pytest and protractor is a plus
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience running on Linux and working in AWS
- Experience in banking and post-trade processing with basic understanding of instruments like futures and swaps
