IT Support Engineer at JumpCloud (Boulder, CO)

As our first official IT team member, you will have the key role in supporting the IT function for JumpCloud. This will include designing, developing, and maintaining the corporate architecture used by the organization.

This role requires regular collaboration with a diverse group of colleagues as well as managing vendors and a passion to work with heterogenous on-premise and cloud-oriented technologies.  



  • Maintain appropriate security access and protection, in compliance with existing security policies and best practices.

  • Build, configure, monitor, maintain, and support our corporate environments (including but not limited to: laptops, phone systems, antivirus tools, MS Office apps, network equipment, etc).

  • Design, implement, maintain, and support cloud applications (G Suite, Office 365, Jive, Slack etc).

  • Optimize, maintain, and support WAN, LAN, and Wireless corporate networks.

  • Administer corporate directory systems using JumpCloud’s DaaS.

  • Provide employee training and supporting documentation to promote adoption and efficiency. 

  • Work closely with other departments on IT projects.

  • Keep systems up-to-date with appropriate patches, firmware, and other fixes. Schedule necessary maintenance for systems, plan for downtime, and notify affected users if applicable.

  • Manage backup and disaster recovery systems and procedures and assist in the development of new and updated policies related to information management, security, backup and disaster recovery.



Skills and experience that are important for the role: 



  • 1-3 years designing, implementing, and supporting corporate information systems.

  • Understanding of space build outs, moves and scaling IT infrastructure with a growing company. 

  • Working knowledge of core networking technologies including firewalls, switches, and wireless equipment (Meraki) and related protocols.

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for supporting and enabling colleagues on new technology.

  • Experience administering cloud collaboration tools (Google Docs,) in a corporate environment.

  • Solid experience supporting a diverse client environment (mix of MacOS, Windows, Linux).

  • Passion to research, evaluate, implement, and support new technologies to stay abreast of industry trends.

  • Solid background leveraging tools and automation to streamline administration tasks and improve technology deployment scalability.
