Checkout.com is actively looking for a talented DevOps Engineer responsible for the planning, architecture design, development, and maintenance of a set of consistent network initiatives within our all-Cloud migration project.
The DevOps Engineer will drive & deliver Network and Database solutions that will be the foundations of our AWS Cloud services adoption. The DevOps Engineer will provide input into long-range networking and data-storage requirements and operational guidelines, with a focus on meeting demands of a rapidly growing and scaling global service. The DevOps Engineer will also deliver network orchestration and automation to continue improving the performance and reliability of the network and the overall service.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with passionate technologists across multiple disciplines to ensure the Cloud migration suitability as it relates to security, resiliency and performance requirements
- Drive the migration of our existing applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud hosting platform
- Development of orchestration blueprints/scripting for automation of task within the Cloud management platform
- Provide day to day functional support of networking services for Cloud operations
- Identifies and drives automation initiatives to deliver efficiencies and self-service capabilities
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years DevOps Engineering experience with AWS Cloud Solutions
- Experience with large Cloud migration, integration and consolidation efforts
- Excellent understanding of both Unix/Linux and Windows environments
- Experience with Teamcity or Jenkins, Scripting (Perl or Python), .Net
- Good Knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL and MongoDB
- Experience with build & design of monitoring software like cacti.
- Good knowledge in network infrastructure design and administration
- Self-motivated, able to deliver consistent results through problem solving
- Autonomous, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal guidance
- BSc In Computer Science or related Field – MSc preferred
- Fluent in English
