Candidates applying on this requisition may be interviewed and/or hired into one of several organizations at Sandia National Laboratories to address the full range of challenging National Security Mission problems in key areas such as:



  • High Performance Computing

  • Large Scale Software Development and Engineering

  • Advanced and Beyond-Moore Computing Technologies/Architectures

  • Computational Science and Mathematics

  • Data Science and Analytics

  • Algorithm Design & Graph Theory

  • Scientific and Data Visualization


Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus four years of relevant experience; OR a graduate degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Experience in software design and development


Desired:



  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate

  • Experience in a subset of the following: software engineering methodologies, agile development, user interfaces, databases, algorithms, data science, analytics.

Security Clearance:


Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) granted Q-level security clearance.


Sandia is required by DOE directive to conduct a pre-employment drug testing, and a pre-employment background review that includes personal reference checks, law enforcement record and credit checks, and employment and education verifications. Applicants for employment must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.


Applicants offered employment with Sandia are subject to a federal background investigation to meet the requirements for access to classified information or matter if the duties of the position require a DOE security clearance.
