The ETL Administrator will work within a team providing Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence services to our government customer. This position will work with varying data sources with different schemas and data elements to ultimately produce an effective and efficient Data Warehouse in AWS. Collaboration with the IT support and security teams is required to ensure technical architecture and data schemas comply with guidelines and restrictions specified for our customer’s environment.





Responsibilities






  • Installing and configuring Informatica components, including high availability; managing server activations and de-activations for all environments; ensuring that all systems and procedures adhere to organizational best practices

  • Day to day administration of the Informatica Suite of services (PowerCenter, IDS, Metadata, Glossary and Analyst).

  • Informatica capacity planning and on-going monitoring (e.g. CPU, Memory, etc.) to proactively increase capacity as needed.

  • Manage backup and security of Business Intelligence Infrastructure.

  • Design, develop, and maintain all data warehouse, data marts, and ETL functions for the organization as a part of a development team.

  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.

  • Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.

  • Review projects to assist the Manager of BI in planning and coordinating project activity.

  • Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures.

  • Evaluate the organization's technology use and needs and recommend improvements, such as software upgrades.

  • Prepare and review operational reports or project progress reports.

  • Assist in the daily operations of the Architecture Team (a functional unit within the Business Intelligence Group), analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards, and setting deadlines.





 Qualifications






  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience and Minimum of five years of experience in data warehouse engineering/architecture/administration.

  • Experience with ETL Code deployments (repository, folder, workflow and mapping level).

  • Experience with installation and upgrade of Informatica PowerCenter (Metadata Manager, IDQ, and PowerExchange would be a plus).

  • Experience with various operating platforms, metadata management, and extensive experience with SQL and ETL

  • Working knowledge of the Windows and Linux Operating System from a service perspective is critical.


Desired Requirements:



  • Experience with Power exchange – Mainframe and Oracle CDC is a plus.


Security Clearance: US Citizenship is required along with the ability to obtain an Agency Suitability Clearance.
