Anything .NET Developer at Recordsure (Leeds, UK)

Anything .Net: if it involves the Microsoft stack, you can build it, and if it's some new technology you haven't used before... you'll figure it out.

The focus of this role is to rapidly build products and integrations using best-of-breed 3rd party SDKs and tools.

You’ll be working with technologies ranging from OCR through Robotics and Machine Learning to… who knows, next week?

You will be developer #1 for an almost green-field project to deliver transformational technology to both in-house departments as well as to clients of TCC and Recordsure; and will also be the technical authority to support BPMS developers when they need to stray beyond the confines of their drag-and-drop design tools.

Based amongst some of your user base in our central Leeds office, you can also work from home on those days you just need to get your head down and code.

About you
You love solving business problems and are the first to conceive, design, prototype then deliver simple solutions that make your users more efficient.

In addition to practical, rapid deliveries, you also care about quality: not just in the end product, but also in delivering code that other developers can maintain.

You’re a self-starter: a highly enthusiastic and motivated .Net developer used to adapting to and learning new technologies, design patterns and architectures as the need arises.

You will have a solid knowledge in C# 5.0 or above, can engineer VB and its scripting variants when necessary, and can build rich web applications where the full power of the user’s browser is utilised.

Your skills

  • C#: Visual Studio keeps you warm at night, whilst type safety and generics help you sleep more easily.

  • ASP.NET: WebForms? MVC? Either or both are good

  • HTML: when it comes to server-side vs client-side templating, you’re the referee, and whilst others think CSS is just a paint set, you treat it as your Lego® Technic and know how to use it to save a Javascript CPU cycle or two

  • JQuery: you’ve extended the extensions and loaded multiple versions in parallel to combine support for 3rd party libraries that have never heard of each other before

  • Web Services: you know your REST from your AJAX from your WCF and have tied together disparate services from multiple 3rd party products and online services

  • [W]WF: you’ve wrestled Microsoft’s workflow implementation and won

  • VB.NET, VBA, VBScript: you <> proud, so if automating applications like MS Office using non C# languages = the right solution, then you know how to operate

  • Sharepoint: if you haven’t yet built your first add-in or web-part, you’ll need to convince us that you can

  • SQL: more than just a query monkey, you can design a database and optimise an index as well as any DB admin

  • Security ingrained: You know your CAPTCHAs from your SQL injection from your brute force attacks, and how to specify and develop to mitigate them.

  • English: not only did you understand this advert, but you could write it too - and more importantly, you can debate your technical solutions with developers and business people alike

  • RPA/BPMS/AI/ML/OCR: if you haven’t yet, you will soon
