Job Summary:

The Application Support Specialist reviews, analyzes, evaluates and supports both Property Management business systems and user needs.  The Application Support Specialist has an in-depth knowledge of the business use of applications.  The Application Support Specialist leads the user community in the correct use of applications.  The Application Support Specialist writes and maintains detailed documentation of application procedures, program functions and steps required to efficiently and effectively utilize applications.  The Application Support Specialist works with end user groups to evaluate and solve technical problems.  The Application Support Specialist serves as a liaison among third-party and intercompany staff and the end users.  The Application Support Specialist provides systems analysis to ensure the needs of the user community are met.  The Application Support Specialist performs system-wide application functions and reporting for the Property Management business unit.  The Application Support Specialist leads system implementations, upgrades and user training.  The Application Support Specialist provides application help desk support for Property Management.  The driving force of this position is to ensure the end users receive an adequate level of service and support with their questions and concerns.

The Application Support Specialist serves as the main point of contact for the Gumenick Properties user community in the timely resolution of Property Management system and software problems.  Accordingly, it is imperative that the Application Support Specialist:

  • Provides assistance in a friendly, professional and timely manner insuring a high level of customer satisfaction; and
  • Applies technical skills, clear communications and problem solving skills to ensure issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.

Front End Engineer at Ntrepid Corporation (Herndon, VA)

Ntrepid's Mapper product team is seeking an experienced front-end engineer to design, build and maintain the next generation Mapper user interface. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver who isn't afraid to take ownership of software design with a successful background participating in the development of user interfaces for enterprise applications using an Agile methodology. This position will work with the Technical Lead, UX Designers, and Software Developers and will serve as a significant contributor on all aspects of interface design and development.





Responsibilities






  • Work cross-functionally with UX, Product, and Engineering teams

  • Define, code, test and deploy new features with an emphasis on extensibility and performance

  • Utilize the latest techniques in HTML5, CSS and JavaScript to produce beautiful user interfaces and experiences for our customers

  • Develop new user facing features, and user interfaces

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs





Qualifications






  • U.S. Citizenship Required

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance

  • Bachelor’s or higher in computer science or similar field (flexible with this requirement for corresponding experience)

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, with emphasis on front-end development

  • 2+ years of JavaScript development experience in an Agile environment

  • Experience writing front end code that interacts with RESTful APIs

  • Experience with VueJS and Typescript

  • Experience with at least one other common JavaScript framework (e.g. React,  Angular, Aurelia, etc.)

  • Understanding of JavaScript tooling and package management, e.g., Webpack, npm, Gulp, etc.

  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design

  • Experience with CSS Preprocessors such as LESS/SASS

  • Experience coding for cross-browser and cross-device compatibility

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and practices are required

  • Experience using source control tools like Git is required

  • Experience using task and bug tracking tools such as JIRA is required

  • Working knowledge of common backend technologies, especially Java and Python
