About You :

Forbes is looking for a SD2 for its Advisor platform. The ideal candidate will be passionate with a strong background in building high scale internet applications.

Advisor is a new initiative in the personal finance space by Forbes. We are seeking top talent to become members of this team in our new Mumbai office. Responsibilities :

- Designs and develops high quality clean code

- Oversees team members performing these functions

- Anticipates problems and future technical needs and takes necessary steps to address Issues.

- Work primarily in server side technologies and comfortable with client side whenever required

- Enthusiastically follow technology trends, software engineering best practices and technologies

Requirements :

- Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

- Must have at least 4 years experience as a software developer

- Must be proficient in Core Java

- Must have developed or worked in RESTful services

- Must have developed microservices with Spring/Springboot

- Must have worked in at least one NoSql solution like MongoDB

- Should have worked with RDBMS like Postgres or Mysql

- Should have good knowledge in design patterns

Good to have :

- Experience working with React.js

- Experience with Docker

- Basic experience with AWS offerings

- Experience with TDD

Back-end Software Engineer at Billhop (Stockholm, Sweden)

Billhop is in an expansive phase and we are looking for back end developers to join our software engineering team in Stockholm. We are a technology company on a mission to continuously develop great products and we are active in the exciting intersection of card payments, banking infrastructure and a lot of API’s!

You will be developing new features and applications as well as improving and maintaining our current platform. Common tasks will be: defining sub-APIs for our micro services, implementing those APIs, integrating towards third party services or manage large amounts of data available for our internal use. The bottom line is – you’ll be coding a lot, which we hope makes you feel excited and happy!

Our infrastructure is based on a Kubernetes cluster with a Pub/Sub running through a dozen of Node-based micro services talking REST. We are happy with our setup, but never content and never finished. We are always looking for new stuff to learn and better ways to overcome our challenges.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience


• At least two years’ experience from professional backend development, primarily using Node


• Experience from development of production grade scalable applications


• You preferably also know a little bit about databases, Docker and Kubernetes


• You answer yes to most of these
