SR SYSTEMS ENGINEER - Wireless Communications
Location: Los Angeles, California (Relocation Assistance available)
Salary: Open: with excellent full benefits

W2 Direct Hire onsite ONLY
NO VISA's NO H1s NO Corp to Corp NO Contractors
Must be a U.S. person (U.S. Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen) due to clients under U.S. government contracts.System performance and requirement specification.

Algorithm and protocol design for wireless communications systems.

Matlab & C/C++ based simulator development.

Fixed point design and simulation.

System architecture definition.

Handoff to and work with the hardware and software team for system implementation and testing.

Work with the hardware and the software team to characterize and troubleshoot system performance issues.

Qualifications

MSEE required, PhD in Electrical Engineering a plus.

5+ years of relevant communication systems design experience.

Experienced in the design and development of OFDM based systems, a must.

Fluent with C/C++ and/or MATLAB a must.

Must possess a working knowledge of RF signal propagation, channel modeling, digital communication technologies.

Knowledge of signal processing algorithms a definite plus.

Knowledge of MIMO systems a definite plus.

Knowledge of Medium Access Controls and networking a definite plus.

Knowledge of wireless ad-hoc networking and routing algorithms a definite plus.

Experience with wireless communication hardware a definite plus.

Looking for a Systems Analyst who:

• Contribute to the assessment of business problems and opportunities and recommend the best course of action (i.e. strategic and tactical)
• Work with management team to identify, define and prioritize portfolio of projects to ensure work aligns with strategic goals.
• Utilize structured, disciplined, and data-oriented process to identify root cause and solve problems
• Experience with systems and IT operations
• Experience with frequent, incremental code testing, integration and deployment
• Strong grasp of automation tools
• A strong focus on business outcomes
• Great teammate and collaborative working style to implement change
• Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years’ experience in technology / digital products preferred
• Knowledge of Amazon Web Services
• Understanding of Databases: PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server
• ETL system management experience
• Experience working in an agile software development environment a plus
• Experience capturing customer / user requirements, crafting use cases, writing user stories
• Experience facilitating requirements gathering sessions with customers, users, internal teams, stakeholders, etc
• Familiar with the JIRA and Confluence applications a plus
• Familiar with container application platform technologies such as openshift, PCF, etc
• Familiar with Kubernetes, Docker, EKS
• Familiar with Jenkins automation server
• Familiar with Puppet software configuration management
• Basic Windows and Unix platforms administration
