What will you do?
The team and you will work in projects covering several key areas, e.g. sensors and optics, image processing, imaging related features and algorithms, from early definition until release to the product development organization. The team’s activities result both in HW (ASICs) and software used in the Axis products. You will work with our framework that is responsible for executing the software that implement the imaging algorithms. The implementation is done in C++ and runs on embedded Linux in our products. You will also contribute to the development of the interfaces (API) for the image processing software and to the tools that makes you and the team more efficient. You will participate in the bring-up of new platforms.
The team
The Core Technologies Imaging team is responsible for the development of the imaging processing architecture, features and algorithms, as well as for the camera sensor and optics vendor interaction and evaluation for Axis products. We deliver technology platforms on which the product development organization builds cameras. The team is also a competence center for the R&D organization in areas of image processing, sensor and optics technologies. We are currently around 30 engineers working with Core Technologies Imaging. The team keeps an open discussion environment where we challenge each other to constantly improve.
Who are we looking for?
We believe you have a genuine interest in software and its application in the field of imaging processing. You have a master’s degree in computer science or similar and software development experience using efficient tools and automated environments e.g. Git/Gerrit/Jenkins. You are used to automating recurrent tasks using appropriate tools e.g. Python. You know how to make the most of prototyping as an approach for finding solutions and when start over and implement a maintainable solution. An interest in image and signal processing and photography is a plus.
As a person you are collaborative and have an ability to interact and communicate in a good way with people inside and outside the organization. You have a strong drive and high level of ambitions, while still being humble and a great team mate.
